About SeromYx

SeromYx Systems is a specialty immunology service company that is focused on high throughput characterization and interpretation of antibody Fc effector function.  SeromYx offers an a la carte suite of biophysical and functional assays coupled with a machine learning computational biology capability to ensure robust interpretation of high dimensional datasets.  SeromYx currently operates a fee for service business model, and plays in two segments: infectious disease vaccines (“Systems Serology”), supporting the development of correlates of protection and vaccine preclinical and clinical design from pre-IND to registration; and monoclonal antibody discovery and development, characterizing the function induced by panels of synthetic antibodies from candidate selection to IND and CMC filing, as well as characterizing a therapy’s functional activity in vivo as distinct from a patient’s endogenous response.  SeromYx has served over 25 clients across approximately 50 projects, split fairly equally between vaccine and monoclonal antibody projects.  The customer base runs the gamut from government and large charities to major pharmaceutical companies to biotechnology companies.

SeromYx span out of the Ragon Institute of Harvard, MIT and MGH.  SeromYx raised its A round (and only) financing in July 2019 and started operations at the end of 2019.  It currently employs 16 people plus consultants in administrative and support roles and operates out of a custom-designed lab and office space of approximately 8,000 square feet in Woburn, MA.  SeromYx operates a quality management system and is GCLP accredited.

SeromYx is positioned for significant growth, having won a series of major contracts over the last few months and significantly expanding its customer footprint and its service offering.  The Company is investing heavily in growth initiatives, seeking to increase its penetration of the monoclonal antibody market (a much larger opportunity than vaccines) and through research collaborations with leading academic institutions such as Yale, the University of Pittsburgh and King’s College, London, as well as developing offerings beyond its core infectious disease franchise in oncology and autoimmunity.
